“Hard work pay” is a phrase From Nigerian Afrobeats singer/songwriter Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake/ Mr M$ney. He rose from begging for free bedspace to being a real estate investor.
He went on social media to share that what got him intrigued about his journey to stardom was the fact that he never saw rejection as a barrier to giving up on his career as a singer.
“I kept attempting but my efforts didn’t bear any fruits until my very close friend reached out to Olamide, Founder Y.B.N.L Nation on my behalf. He listened to some of my songs and then invited me to his house,” the musician Narrated.
He later signed a deal with the organization, joining the Y.B.N.L Family, adding that his response to an interview question made him respect himself more. He was asked if he was lucky to have been signed into the Y.B.N.L Label. He responded that he has always been ready, which implied that being lucky wasn’t enough to have earned him the slot, but hard work and perseverance did.
“See rejection as an opportunity to get better for greater opportunities,” Asake advised his followers on social media.
“You must also know that people are watching all that you do, they might not necessarily comment on what you do, but their response will often come through recommendations in places your skills might not be able to take you in ten years,” he added
