The invention, created by Colombian renewable energy business E-Dina, is a ground-breaking lantern that produces light and power utilizing one of the planet’s most priceless natural resources: the sea.

The Colombian Wayuu community and their ancestors’ ties to the water served as inspiration for the design. This indigenous group resides on the isolated La Guajira Peninsula, which runs along Venezuela’s and Colombia’s shared border.
