“Be ready for help. I’ve never believed in reinventing the wheel. If someone is already doing what I want to do, I’ll gladly join. But I’ve noticed two things that visionary builders do wrong,” she highlighted.
- You fail to publicize what you do because you’re too busy building. This is a mistake. You would gain many synergies if people were aware of your work.
- You have no structure to onboard help. People hear about what you’re building and want to help, but there’s no immediate way to plug in. So you squander the goodwill.
She further advised that if someone is working on something, they should have a list of things people can immediately plug into. If they are raising capital, they should have a pitch deck that is ready.

“For anyone who has built a sales funnel, you know it is not enough to build a product. You need to think of the infrastructure for selling it. Use the same principle for every visionary thing you’re building,” she advised.
