Church has always been a safe place for many who are troubled but some feel it is a place they receive most judgment, breaking their hearts hence leading them to leave a weak spiritual life.
Lucie Ayiela, a social media user came out to express her frustration pointing out that she was judged in church saying the church was a crowded space that she felt most lonely in.

She added that the Church broke her down and then accused her of leading a weak spiritual life and ridiculed her for having normal life problems in the name of spiritual attacks.
“Let me rephrase; in most churches, you will find the judgment you expect in bars and in most bars, you will find the love you expected in church. And yet the church is feeding on the sheep rather than shepherding the sheep. I have a social support system that consists of individuals who are good for my mental health, peace, and growth out of the church,” she said.

Other social media users agreed with her while others disagreed with her narrative, saying the Church has self-righteous people and advising that people should not expect to find angels in church.
MureyPoll said, “I think you love the bar more than a church, and instead of complaining here just go to the bar where old men will give you comfort. The church is there to feed your spiritual man who needs the word, and the word will set you free. Free here means spiritual freedom.”

“There are so many Churches, you can’t just stay in one and use this to judge all other churches in Kenya. Don’t stay where there is no God, and if you are uncomfortable in any church just move to another. You can’t use a personal experience to crucify the church of Jesus Christ,” Evanz Mwanzu wrote.
Douglas Sobera lamented, “One time I confided a mistake to someone in Church and asked for guidance. I have never felt so exposed like that, barely a month had some little confrontation with someone, shock on me I was told everything I shared in secret, your guess is as good as mine.”
