Kenya has taken major strides in improving schools’ infrastructure and the quality of education in Kenya. The demand for these two efforts has been further necessitated by the introduction and implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum. However, limited resources have been an obstacle to the agenda of improving infrastructure in schools, especially those owned by the government.
World Vision and Sanlam Kenya, a non-bank finance solutions provider, have partnered to improve the learning environment of over 700 pupils from selected schools. The two target to address infrastructural challenges in most Kenyan rural communities at a cost of KES 21.1 million ($211,000).
