US preacher Tim Ross has insisted that for marriage to work, there must be a lot of work involved.
He says marriage isn’t a walk in the park, adding that marriage is a two-way affair because two people have committed to it. If one partner is not ready for it the union will never work.

“Marriage is a two-way street. You’re in this together. Be there. Do the work. Die to self. Love one another. If all these are followed, then the marriage will automatically work but if the contrary is applied it will never work,” the preacher said.
He further insisted that marriage is work and action.
“True love works and it will only work if the two areas are ready to make it work,” the preacher added.

Other social media users supported the idea saying as people put a lot of effort into their workplace and other personal projects this too should be considered a project for it to work effectively.

“They thought it was going to be fun and games all day every day, but that’s not reality. Yeah, it’s awesome to be on vacation, but then you need to come back and do the work to afford and enjoy those vacations,” she said.
Simone Mckenzie supported the idea saying that two people should be putting in the necessary work, lamenting that many people are suffering in marriages that aren’t healthy to prove a point.

“Someone telling me they’ve been married 50 years doesn’t wow me. It’s not the number of years that’s important but the quality of life you share with your partner within a marriage,” he said.
He added that he knows of numerous couples who have been married for decades but haven’t shared a bed for years, they literally sleep in separate rooms but stay with each other for financial purposes.
