Africa faces significant challenges like poverty, lack of proper medical services, education, unemployment, hunger and drought. Some believe all this is caused by colonization and the influence of the West, while others feel Africans cause the problems.
Alexandra Tchomte, the founder, Managing Director and partner of La Grande Royale in Nigeria, believes that the problem of Africa is NOT the West. Although the West did what it did by survival instinct, the problem of Africa is African betrayers who have sold and still sell Africa.
She explains that in the past, Africans betrayed their own people to get mirrors, Brandy and cheap junks, adding that presently they betray to get miserable societal positions.
“When you see how Cecil Rhodes bribed some African traditional rulers, you cry. Without African betrayers, Europeans would have never succeeded to trade slaves. Africans are champions of slavery themselves,” She said.
She claimed that betrayers know that some international organisations have been created without Africa in mind as a business partner but as a potential reservoir of natural resources. However, they choose to assume positions where they serve as puppets and only continue that system that has not helped Africa.
“This is valid even at a lower level. I have been betrayed in business because my African brother and sister did not hesitate to sell me cheaply once a European joined the business. You see Africans selling their land to Chinese without even making sure that the business that the Chinese will use the land for will not hurt the community,” She mentioned.
The strange thing is that Africans betray themselves and still expect the world to respect them. People call themselves “brother” until a foreigner shows up with the money.
She called on Africans to embrace enlightenment by studying themselves, reinventing their culture and understanding their uniqueness.
