The discussion on why Sub-African produces a lot of raw materials but still languishes in poverty is still on as some countries have decided to ban exporting raw materials.
President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has announced that the country will not export its raw materials for other countries to benefit while Ugandans lose job opportunities.
“There is no point in why we should produce raw materials for other countries to benefit from while losing jobs in Uganda. I, therefore, opined to our Vietnam friends to look at how both our counties can close this leakage! I am happy we are in agreement,” President Museveni said.
This comes weeks after Dr Howard Nicholas, an economist, explained that all global economic plans are designed to keep Africa exactly where it is due to its key role in supplying raw materials to developed countries.
Many people believe that Africa was planned to be the way it is. Making it poor to continue to exploit its resources was deliberately orchestrated through the economic policies strategically put in place to keep Africans grasping for air always, making them seek help.
“Africans can do it on their own, but the developed countries make it impossible because they need the raw material at a very cheap price, and this is the opposition Africa is fighting. If Africa does anything different now, the living standards of those in Asia, North America and Europe is going to fall,” Dr Nicholas explained.
Ugandans supported President Museveni’s move, appreciating him, adding that this will see a tremendous achievement as far as industries in the country are concerned.
“Thank you Mzee, we appreciate how Uganda is at your heart. Thanks for creating a peaceful environment that has enabled investors to construct factories in the country,” Wataba Muhozi said.
“Thank you Mr. President for the great achievements that you have brought to this country Uganda this should not only apply to Uganda but all African countries,” Magura Ceaser mentioned.
