Kenyan musician and single mother Akothee is proud of her achievements in mentoring her children.
Akothee, who has severally referred to herself as president of single mothers, now says that she is not worried about her daughter’s well-being in case curtains fall on her. She says she has given her daughters the best mentorship and education which has propelled them to financial stability and independence.
The musician has three grown daughters; Fancy Makadia, Rue Baby and Vesha Okello. She also has two young boys; Prince Oyoo and Prince Ojwang’.
Akothee said she has invested in her girls to be independent and financially stable, something that gives her peace of mind.
“I took my 3rd born Fancy Makadia out of Ulanda Girls because she was accused of being Illuminati. As much as I wanted her to learn the hard way, this affected her performance in school and she was always crying and going back to school was like jail. I then took her to a group of schools where the who of the who’s go. Hapo, kila mtu ako nazo hakuna illuminati s**t,” Akothee said.
“She cleared her GCSE in Braeburn and joined University in France. I took her to France to protect her since she has always been the weakest since my divorce and separation from her dad. She is a daddy’s girl. Fancy Makadia is now hosting me in her house,” the mother of five added.
Akothee revealed that Fancy Makadia has been studying Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Hotel Management in France.
The musician is loved and hated in equal measure by her online fans. She is a successful entrepreneur and owns Akothee Safaris (a tour and travel company), Akothee Foundation (a charity organization), Aknotela (a brand publicity agency) and Akothee Homes (a real estate business).
Her online drama and dress code have sometimes received backlash from fans but she has often insisted that she is living her life.
