“I am fascinated by sensational moments by the pediatric nurse. Good work Elizabeth, dedication in service delivery is our guiding principle. I have pledged to offset her tuition fees for the remaining period of her studies, further ensure she gets an internship and finally be absorbed to serve as a pediatric nurse,” Governor Natembeya wrote on his official page.
The 22 year old viral pediatric nurse was captured doing ‘Baby Shark’ moves for a sick child at Kitale level IV hospital Ward 8 in a video clip which was shared by Dr Rowena Njeri.
Dr Rowena captioned the video clip, “Starting this week with such positive vibes! If you know her, say hi to her, and thank her for bringing such joy to this little child. May her doors in this career open wider and further.”
Social media users were not left behind as many of them stormed Dr. Rowana’s page to congratulate the nurse and encourage her to continue doing what she is doing.
Ndege Kev says, there was a time I was hospitalized in Kenyatta, and the fear of all the stories I’ve heard almost killed me. I was surprised that there were awesome doctors and nurses who went above and beyond [there were some bad apples, of course].”
Doctor Reign wrote, “She has an amazing career ahead! Let’s acknowledge the good work student nurses, nurse interns and nurses do in this country! They deserve better.”
“This reminds me of when my son broke his hand and was admitted for a surgery. The nurse spoiled him with everything – his favorite cartoons, food, snacks etc. On the day of discharge he requested we add him a few days in hospital. It was a wakeup call for me. I needed to up my game back home,” Fridah Gacheri Kibuko happily narrated.
