Arsenal has had a very difficult period since Arsene Wenger left the club. This season might be the best season for them if the current form and mentality of the players are maintained to the end of the 2022/2023 season.

The glorious days of Arsenal had been turned into turmoil for diehard fans of one of the most followed premier league clubs. The beautiful attractive football instilled in the club’s culture was maintained but the results would speak otherwise.

Some memories would linger back to when the likes of Patrick Viera were the captain and he would fight with all his heart to ensure that Arsenal wins. Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg threatened opponents through the flanks with their speed, Kolo Toure and Sol Campbell defended with their bodies and zeal while Thiery Henry scored goals whenever he wants to assist by Dennis Bergkamp.

Now, they have a squad well-prepared by a manager whose heart is made for Arsenal. Played for Arsenal from 2011 to 2016 and even captained Arsenal for a few years, went on to become an assistant manager at Manchester city and came back to spearhead the team to where it belongs. Mikel Arteta has managed to build a strong squad for 2 years managing to instil confidence in the youthful lads and showing them that it is possible.

Young players like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, Edward Nketiah are becoming monsters. They are leading the team in fighting at a tender age. They are gelling with a few experienced players like Thomas Partey, and Gabriel Jesus who have been part of the winning squads in their previous clubs.

With Arsenal leading the premier league standings with 50 points, five points above the defending champions-Manchester City is something that any other premier league team should be worried about.

Arsenal has become a threat fighting from the start of the match to the end. That is something that was witnessed with the “invincibles” squad back in 2003/2004.

Should Arsenal win their next five crucial matches against their fellow title contenders for the premier league then it will be clear that they might win the premier league. The gunners have already garnered six crucial points by thrashing Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. They face struggling Everton, Brentford and Manchester City respectively in their next fixtures.
