These may include exposure to unsuitable or distressing content, such as hurtful, hostile, violent, or sexual comments or photos, and or uploading inappropriate material, such as provocative or embarrassing images or films of themselves or others.

Uju Ifunanya Edochie, the mental health practitioner, condemns ladies defending leaked video of lovers asking ladies to call a spade a spade, adding that it is evil to record intimate sessions, so people should not complain when they leak.

“Why are ladies allowing men to video them while they are naked even if they are a married couple? Why allow that in the first place? You are digging a pit, and when you eventually find yourself inside, you start complaining,” she said.

“Why are people defending evil? People should condemn that act as evil. We are Africans. Why are we recording ourselves with a fruit we are supposed to eat in a hidden place?” she asked.

Dejem Clothiers added, “We are in a society where truth is seen as judgmental, hateful or bitter. A phone can be snatched or stolen from you, and the contents are publicised. So why do you have a naked video of yourself on your phone?”

“First, as an African girl, you claim you disrespect your senior colleague. You are mocking another one’s pain. People did something, but the woman took the blame all the time. What evil did she do? Have sex or video?” Victoria Inyama asked.

“It is our duty as law-abiding Nigerians to speak out when a crime or injustice is committed against another Nigerian. That guy is guilty of cyberbullying, harassment, and intimidation. If the Empress writes a petition against him, Nigerian police will deal with him till his fake accent normalizes. When someone is down, don’t add more to the person’s sorrow by keeping the person down. Try as much as you can to lift the person,” Rukabebe Nkeiruka wrote.
